This is rather a well-known EG Civic, and these photos are from back in 2010. It was a very influential car on the JDM scene in the US as far back as 2006, when it showcased the effectiveness of well-chosen OEM parts rather than flashy bodykits and Fast & Furious styling. Indeed, it inspired a generation of new modifiers to paint their car in flat military shades, junk their custom interiors for racing buckets and rollcages, and put real focus on the engine and chassis setup rather than merely the aesthetics. The Tank features a heavily tuned 2.0-litre B18 twink, drag coilovers, huge Wilwood brakes and Kevlar seats, along with a multitude of other parts that now feature broadly across the scene. Most notable, though, is the use of 16" wheels; in a time when bigger was better and everybody was trying to squeeze nineteens (or larger) onto their hatchbacks, the Tank helped to cut through the bullshit and reclaim a little driveability. It's not the size, it's what you do with it.
