Wooly Bully Lincoln

SuckSqueezeBangBlow first spotted the Wooly Bully powering up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2010, and it was a pleasant surprise to happen across it in the car park of this year's Revival, sitting undisturbed and alone in a field rather than surrounded by photographers in the Cathedral Paddock.
The Wooly Bully is a 1954 Lincoln Cosmopolitan and, as you may have deduced from the livery, is prepared as a Carrera Panamericana entrant. Often referred to as 'the world's most dangerous road race', the Panamericana ran from 1950-54 before being cancelled, but was revived as a more tightly controlled classic event in 1988, running annually since then. The Wooly Bully has participated in this retrospective new-wave Carrera, and still features its original fifties drum brakes and two-speed gearbox. Impressively, it's nearly eighteen feet long...
