
It also rather neatly proves the point that a little inspiration can go a long way. The FJ isn't festooned in ostentatious modifications, but rather enjoys the odd subtle tweak to accentuate its robustly stylish form.
There's a 350ci Chevrolet V8 under the bonnet, running triple Rochester carbs - not a screaming, big-cube drag engine, but enough to keep the car up to pace with modern traffic. The floor's been raised to give it a stance that is simultaneously jacked-up, body-dropped and wheel-tucked. The interior has been treated to a retrim in lipstick-red leather, to match the ultra-polished wheels. Beyond that, it's a case of luxuriously deep metallic grey paint, arrow-straight bodywork (as evidenced by the reflection you can see in the side-view photo below), and a whole lot of polishing. Magnificent, isn't it?
